Kelsey Witt, (b. 1991, Richmond, VA) is an artist located in the Pacific Northwest. An avid traveler of the Unites States, she has roadtripped through 42 states, and has been to 46/50. Her artwork explores the micro-organisms, and cellular structures that inhabit the waters of the Atlantic to the Pacific and the tributaries that feed them.

Water has always had a huge impact on the artists life. Growing up next to the James River and learning of all the wildlife that inhabit rivers, streams, lakes, and oceans, she was inspired. With that love of water, post graduating college, she packed up everything she owned and made the leap to California. The Pacific Ocean taught her to surf. Once returning to Virginia, specifically Virginia Beach, she began painting. For the next seven years she would be a founding member of the ViBe and Neon Art districts in Hampton Roads.

In the beginning of 2020, she got a new job opportunity painting massive murals in NYC, and decided to make the leap and risk it all. Covid would quickly wipe out that opportunity and the next five years she found herself rebuilding. In 2023, Kelsey made the leap to Denver, Colorado. There she met many amazing artists, and reconnected with glass art. Missing the waters she was used to seeing, 2024 she made the final jump back to the west coast and is now settled in Seattle.

Kelsey’s studio space is currently in the Georgetown Arts District of Seattle; SixArts. To visit, open studios are the second Saturday of every month.
